KCS isn’t a project with an end date: it’s an ongoing initiative. To continue to deliver its benefits, KCS needs to be continually reinforced and improved. Without ongoing focus, it can easily be buried in the flurry of urgent tasks the organization needs to handle, eventually leading it to wither and die.
DB Kay’s Quarterly Check-Ins help KCS implementations avoid this fate. On a regular cadence, we’ll do a brief check in by
- Analyzing measures and dashboards
- Evaluating recent knowledge base articles
- Reviewing program materials including the Strategic Framework, the Communications Plan, and the Content Standard
- Conducting interviews with program team members, participants, and managers
We’ll analyze the information we gathered, and will report back to the program and/or executive leadership teams with an assessment of the program’s current state, strengths to build on, potential dangers, and specific actions to take.
We’ll also keep the team up to date on new and emerging best practices in KCS, self-service, and other aspects of support.
