Interim Program Management

No Full-Time Program Manager Yet?  No Problem.

It’s hard–perhaps almost impossible–to quickly launch a successful KCS program without dedicated resources.  But if you don’t yet have a program manager in place, we can help.  DB Kay provides interim program management services so you don’t have to wait to achieve the benefits of a KCS program.  And, we’ll make sure the program is being run with industry best practices, thorough documentation, and unparalleled experience.  We’ll even help you hire the right full-time PM–and set him or her up for success.

We’ll provide services both prior to the wave I launch and afterwards, as needed.

Prior to Launch

  • Engage stakeholders to continue to provide input and feedback as the decisions made in the Design Workshop are formalized into program documentation, maintaining the team’s buy-in and ownership
  • Create core program deliverables, including the Content Standard and Content Standard Checklist, the Solution States and Publication Process, Metrics Dashboards, the Strategic Framework, and the Communications Plan, all based on stakeholder input and industry best practice
  • Work with leaders and line managers to keep them up-to-date on the program and make sure they’re engaging as needed
  • Develop and manage the master program plan
  • Perform end-user training and train-the-trainer for Wave One
  • Develop the job description for, and help recruit, a permanent Program Manager
  • Transition Program Management responsibilities to the new Program Manager once hired

After Launch

  • Program managing the KCS roll-out waves scheduled during the engagement
  • Review metrics dashboards, coach and team feedback, and customer feedback as available to assess and tune the KCS processes as implemented in your organization
  • Update the Content Standard, Content Standard Checklist, and the Communication Plan based on program performance and participant feedback
  • Implement planned communications through meetings with participant teams, coaches, line managers, operations leadership, and other stakeholders
  • Produce agendas for Coach and Program meetings
  • Facilitate Coach and Program meetings, documenting decisions and actions
  • Update and manage the KCS program plan
  • Work closely with the senior director of technical support and his designees to assure alignment
  • Transition knowledge and responsibilities to a permanent KCS program manager when available.
