Keeping Communications Simple and Fun: ANCILE Does It Right

November 2, 2015 by David Kay

I always love it when our clients share some of the great ways they communicate with their teams about KCS, and I love it even more when they give me permission to share with you. (HT: CM).

Something we always encourage is a very quick video demo of how to capture, structure, and reuse in the workflow. In this video, the ANCILE team shows how easy it is to use the customizations they’d made to Zendesk to capture a new article. I wouldn’t have thought of using Kool & the Gang for a backing track, but it’s hard not to smile when you hear it.

Another good use of video is to plant seeds with the team, to let them know that KCS is coming, and to create a sense of anticipation. These videos don’t have to be ultra-specific, but they do have to include some “what’s in it for me” (WIIFM) messages to get people interested in learning more. How many WIIFMs can you count in this fun and, yes, extremely silly video?

Hats off to the ANCILE team for taking their Communications Plan seriously, even if the videos are lighthearted. And many thanks to them for sharing.

Do you have any KCS videos to share? If not, maybe the KCS Fairy should pay a visit to your offices, too.
