Practical Trust for the Whole Enterprise

December 1, 2020 by David Kay

Service, Success, and Support organizations that have implemented KCS® and Intelligent Swarming have learned something valuable to every department: the power of trust.  We’ve created a short white paper, Practical Trust, to help you share what you’ve learned with the rest of your enterprise.

Trust is one of the four KCS principles.  Without trust, review queues and delays choke the vibrant demand-driven creation and improvement of content. Swarming succeeds when organizations trust teams to organize themselves around the work, and trust team members to contribute to the success of the team.

But it doesn’t stop there.  Modern humans are mistrustful by default, and that puts sand in the gears of nearly every transaction, including inside the workplace.  Everyone will benefit from diagnosing their own blind spots around trust and taking action to build trust—not a naive trust, but a practical trust—as we work with each other.
